The job interview is an opportunity to talk and find out if your skills and ambitions match the Group’s corporate plan. Each of our recruiters is aware of the importance of fighting all forms of discrimination and of focusing on the professional and people skills of the selected candidates. Beyond technical expertise, we are looking in particular for a creative, enthusiastic and daring spirit.
Skype: more agile and efficient
In March 2015, 26 recruitment professionals in 13 different towns simultaneously conducted interviews via Skype, for a more visual, human, friendly interaction both for the applicant and for the recruiter. Our first screening is now done by Skype, to overcome any possible geographic difficulties for applicants. But we’ve not gone “all virtual” yet! The next step is to come to our offices, to get to know the company, become familiar with the work environment, and meet the team members.
Head-hunting on social networks
The use of social networks is crucial for Gfi. For the last three years, we’ve been recruiting proactively on Viadeo, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. These sourcing and contact channels are a revolution. We use them to communicate, present our projects, hear what our employees have to say, and get in touch with potential candidates who may not have approached us spontaneously.
